I HK Kfl A ll - C V. V. AUSBON EJitort PUBLISHED EVERY FRIDAY. Plymouth, N. C., Friday, Oct., 12th, 1917. PI YMOUTH'S ADVANTA- Communicated. ..'.. ' A couple of strangers from Virginia -have recently vuited Plymouth, N. C, and were very favorably ? impressed with the e little town and the' charming. ho?pi ta ble people there. Plymouth is' advantageously 'situated on the Roanoke River ; : has one regular steam-boat line and two railroads, the Norfolk Southern and the Atlantic Cosst Line, making it very accessible from all points. -There ar 3 four active church es, a good high school, two fine banks, a nice postoffice, one of the largest veneer plants in the wona, a maramom rape junc plant, a good printing office, good hotel accommodation, an unusually good market for a small town, and a most excelent b?kery, besides an electric light 'and ice plant and a goodly num ber of large department stores with very courteous and polite proprietors and clerks. Many of the residences are modern and pretty, adorned by . ii .. i j. attractive nower yarus, m wu&l of which are seen stately mag nolias and flourishing cape jas samine trees, full of beautiful, mammoth snow-white blossoms which impirt a oelicate fra grance to th3 surrounding atmos phere. They were interested in the 'large and very complete brick A rte f -t"NV. Copyricht Hart Schaffner & Marx IIVI4: - OttiMAlJW andPuhlUhw ' V, S. The last, but by no means the least attractive features are the fine artesian Wolis of sulphur water, which make Plymouth a very dcsirabla p!ace for health seekers.- They failed to procure an analysis of the water, but suffice it to say they derived so much benefit from it that they hope to mak? it a regular sum mcr st sort.. Visitors. VVe publish the foregoing let ter just as it was sent us, with out comment, more than to say that it's aiUrus and thensom?. -Ed. k COPvlMISSIONE:RS, PRO CEEDINGS.
