A fev/ About one montli ago tonight our Tannery disappeared from sight A building that was a very rare find in such a town as we have here. But to satisfy a mind insane we had to face the awful flame, and men who worked for daily bread their children now must go unfed. While men before, young and old, could turn their labor into gold, and the court house rails allow to rust and catch a little dust because their hours were all well spent and all would go home quite content. It is true our village is a dream fit for any King or Queen, but he will labor v»rho is a man, but all can’t work for Uncle Sam, and while gardening is a lofty call there isn’t a fertile spot for all. We know our skies are the truest blue and our streams the clearest and sw'eetest too. Our mountains tar, and the grass so green is a gorj^eous picture for any screen. But v;e pity the men w'ho are so small they cannot see the needs of all, v.’Lo are content to live so low as dirt and scarcely own their second shirt.
