EVER StLIVATED BY CALOMEL? HORIBLE! Calomel Is Quicksilver and Acts Like Dynamite on Your Liver. Calomel loses you a day! You know what calomel is. It’s mercury; quicksilver. Calomel is dangerous. It crashes into sour bile like dynamite, cramping and sicken ing you. Calomel attacks the bones and should never be put into your system. When you feel bil’ous, sluggish, consti pated, and all knocked out and believe you need a dose of dangerous calomel just remember that your druggist sells for a few cents a large bottle of Dodson’s Liver Tone, which is entirely vegetable and pleasant to take and is a perfect substi tute for calomel. It is guaranteed to start your liver without stirring you up inside, and can not salivate. Don’t take calomel! It makes you sick the next day; it loses you a day’s work. Dodson’s IJver Tone straightens you right up and you feel great. Give it to the children because it is perfectly harm- ess and doesn’t gripe:—Advertisement. THE PRAYER CORNER The L««stte of Nations The League of Nations was adopt ed by the representatives of fourteen of the great powers of the earth. It is called simply a covenant. That word sounds the meaning of a great undertaking as no other word could have sounded it. International co operation, peace and security are pro vided. **That covenant is the hope of the future. All dreams of the poets and predictions of the prophets are real ized with provisions. Great minds for many ages have foretold a day when war wc^uld end, and peace would reign. Earl Gray, long ago declared that if there is to be an in- during peace, it must be based on a league of nations. He is blind, but he is able to see more than most of men. “The United States went to war to prevent war. and make the world safe for democracy. The enemy has be^n beaten, but as long as one nation is determined to wage war, democracy cannot be assured without such a doc ument as the league. The league will make the world safe for democ racy.”—Judge Wadhams. Let us pray for the League: O Thou God of Nations, Thou hast foretold a day when “nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they leam war any more. But they shall sit, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, and \ none shall make them afraid.” Grant O Lord, that that day has now come, and so move upon the hearts of the nations that they shall so covenant together, that inter national co-operation, peace and se curely may be attained. Bless the league of nations, that the great allied nations have adopted. May it meet with hearty acceptance by all the great powers of the world' and especially our own, so that by the united purpose and determined co-operation of all in its enforcement, and with a firm reliance on Thy Al mighty power, peace and happiness, truth and justice, religion and piety may be established among the peoples of the world for all generations, through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord. Amen. C. D. C. IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT TO HAVE FOR DINNER, ASK SLEDGE. Galloway, Whitmire, St. says: “Kidney trouble came over me a few years jago. The first symptom I noticed was a dull ache in my back that made me feel miserable. When I was stooping or lifting it was almost impossible to straightten because of the pain in my back and mornings I was tired and lame and sore. My head ached a go*d deal,, I got dizzy and black specks often came before my eyes. My kidneys didn’t act properly, either. Hearing; of Doan’s Kidney Pills I began taking them and soon I felt like a different person. I gladly give this endorsement.” 60c at all dealers. Foster-Milburn Co., Mfgrs., Buffalo, N.
