A memorial was given by the chap lain, Mrs. "Myrtle Gasque, to the late Mrs. Cheater Brown, and Mrs. E. M. Mears. Two books were pre sented to the Pack Memorial Libra ry in their honor. Mrs. Stevens introduced the guest speaker, a ninth grade student at Plonk School, Robin Britt, who gave, "I am the Spirit of the Confedera cy" Guests were Miss Elizabeth Fields and Miss Sara Elmore. 1 r'ra. J, rt T'.r- Leaves For Germany Mrs. Joyce Cochran, nee Miss J"oyce Flynn, left Wednesday for New York and Idlewild Airport were she will leave by Pan-American Airfines for Frankfurt, Germa ny to join her husband who is in military service. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Flynn of the Enon com munity. Mrs. Cochran, who visited Dr. W. A. Sams here Tuesday, stated that she is thrilled over the prospects of going to Germany. Dr. Sams', in tell ing her goodbye, remarked, "Joyce to one of my prize babies, being- born March 18," 1936, during the big snow. I always call Joyce my snowbird."
