The North Buncombe Black
Hawks extended their winning
season to three, beating
Marshall 56-45 Tuesday night.
Ben Honeycutt ted the North
Buncombe attack, scoring 15
and grabbing 23 rebounds.
Dennis Silver scored 12 and
had 18 rebounds while Clark
had 16 rebounds.
The Black Hawks held a 27
22 lead at halftime and gained
a bigger lead in the third
quarter.
North Buncombe's girls
outlasted the visitors in a cliff
hanger 23-22. Marshall had a
one point advantage at the
half, but the home-standers
scored a last second basket for
the victory.
Leading North Buncombe
scoring were Ellen Garrison
and Janice Black with eight
points each.

added 17 and 14, respectively,
for the winners, now 3-0.
David Whitson scored 29 for
Cane River.
Carolyn Allen and Jane
Ballou sparked Cane River's
girls to a 44-24 win over Hot
Springs' girls.
