Kiwanis Hears Moody s Repori On Boy Scouts A report on Boy Scout Troop 18, sponsored by the Waynesville Ki wanis Ciub, was made by Andy Moody at a Kiwanis meeting Tues day night at Spaldon's. Mr. Moody told Kiwanis that a scout hut being built by the club is near completion and needs only a chimney to permit occupancy by the scouis. he added that the troop has not been active recently because of the lack of a place to meet. Charles Underwood, president elect of the Kiwanis Club, report ed on a divisional organization meeting in Morganton Tuesday, which he attended together with Hay Pleiness; secretary; Hye Shep towitch, vice president-elect, and the Rev. Don Payne. During the meeting a two-year attendance tab was presented to Oral L. Yates by President Bob Winchester. of Maryville, Tenn. visited Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brown Friday night. Louise Noland is spending this week with her aunt, Mrs. F. M. Noland. Mrs. Robert Noland arid Vinson Ferguson have returned to their homes in Riceville, Tenn. after attending funeral services for their brother, U. H. Ferguson. ?? t , Waldo Green of Powhatan, Va. is visiting his mother, Mrs. W. B. Green. Mrs. Green injured her arm in a fall a short time ago. The sympathy, of the commun ity is extended to the family of the late U. H. Ferguson. The community was sorry to learn of the death of another former Fines Creek resident, J. B. Davis. ?? She will join him in a few weeks. Roy Green, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Green of Lake Logan, and a senior at the Bethel High School, suffered a fractured collar bone, splintered shoulder blade, and injuries to the right hand, Monday afternoon during ball practice at the school gym.
