The team really played a game th>* makes all of Canton proud. The Cantor High fans spurred their team on to victory by their continual cheering. The Black Bears are in line for the state championship games now and CHS is looking for vic tory all the way. Color Day was again proclaimed on Friday and all the students paraded in red and black The PTA held its first meeting of the year last Tuesday night and for the program CHS had open house for the parents. After visit ing the rooms, the parents and teachers were served refreshments. On Friday the PTA sponsored a supper in order to rajse funds for its projects. The "Bear Tracks" staff met Tuesday evening at the high school. Those who attended the Editors' Roundtable at C u11o? whee gave informative reports. The second issue of "Bear Tracks" is now going to press. A group of 40 or 50 boys inter ested in engineering were accom panied by Mr. Smathers to Bre i vard College on Friday. F.xperts from State College lectured. The boys were excused from school Friday and the Engineering Club provided free lunches, The seniors have ordered their calling cards and are eagerly a waiting their arrival. The band is showing much prog ress this year and has brought ex ceptionally interesting programs for halftime shows at the foot hall games. This week their theme was about Halloween.
