Juniors Entertained The BTU Juniors of the Baptist church were entertained at a tack) party Saturday night, in the rec reation room at the church. The leaders, Mrs. William R. Teachey and Mrs. Albert Cottle, directed games, contests and tricks during the evening. The parent . teachers association met on Monday evening in the audi, torlum, with Mr. Dennis Ramsey, presiding: Mrs. Steve Mallard's fifth grade' room was in charge of the program. During 'the evening the group enjoyed a concert given by the Wallace High School band, un der the direction of Mrs. Iris Leary. Included in the concert was a trum pet solo by, Gilbert Moore of Rose HUL . During the business session, min utes were read and approved. The nominating committee elected to se cure officers for the coming, year which were as follows: Mrs. James Ward, Mrs. C. W; Surra tt, Mrs. Mm. nle Lee Davis and Miss Elizabeth Farlow. Mr. Ramsey - announced that the next meeting will be held Friday, April 15th. Mrs. S. V. Wil kins announced a Womanless Wed ding" sponsored by the Eastern Star would be given in the school audi torium followed by a reception. On Friday night March 18th. ' Proceeds will be used to renovate the Rose Hill Community Building. ,- After the meeting adjourned a group met to make plans for se curing a music teacher for the school. The hostesses, Mrs. Howard Cot tle ,Mrs. E? E. Brown, Mrs. Jimmle Bonham, Mrs. John Moore and Mrs. Jernigan served refreshments in the school cafeteria. Mr. J. M. Cottle Celebrates Birthday On Sunday, March 20th, Mr. J. M. Cottle celebrated his 80th birthday at his home. Mr. Cottle's children and their families were invited to share the occasion with him. The family gathered in the dining room and all the grandchildren sang "Happy Birthday." Dinner was serv ed buffet style which everyone thor. oughly enjoyed.
