G On Saturday, October 11, the Davie County Chapter of the Future Homemakers of America left Davie High School at 7:30 a. m. enroute to Watauga High School in Boone, N. C. to attend the District VII UNC Group Will Study Problems CHAPEL HILL (AP) A 60-member committee is being setupat the University of North Carolina in Chapel HUI to achieve wider expression of viewpoints on important issues. Chancellor Carlyle Sitter son said Monday the committee will "undertake a thorough explor ation of how within our setting and tradition we may build a greater sense of common pur pose in approaching campus wide concerns." The committee will be called the Consultative Forum. Sitter son will serve as chairman and the first meeting will be held in November. Sitterson said he had asked the student body president, Alan Albright of Gastonia, to appoint 15 students. Frederic (Seaveland, chairman of the faculty, will appoint IS faculty members. Sitterson will select 15 repre sentatives from the adminis tration and noil academic staff. Consolidated University Pres ident William Friday has been asked to recommend that the board of trustees appoint eight of its members to the com mittee. The president of the UNC Alumni Association, Har ry Montgomery of Raleigh, will name six alumni to serve. The guest speaker for the morning session was the Rev. Bob Young who delivered a dynamic, influential message centered around the theme of the rally. The remaind of the day, except for a break for lunch, F H A'ers in the district exhibited creativity in varying abilities through roll call, interpretation of the new state program of work, speeches made by candidates for state reporter and group singing. The participation and attendance at the rally made it a success and the new program of work is designed with something in it for every school and community.
