The Cooleemee Jaycees are in the Jaycees Elect Jim Steele Jimmy Steele was approved by the Cooleemee Jaycees Board of Directors to fill the unexpired term as president of the local Jaycees at a special meeting last week. Acting president Dave Cover resigned unexpectedly during the regular meeting on Thurs day. Steele appointed Crockett Richardson to the position of external vice president, pre viously held by Steele, for the remainder of the 1969-70 term. Medford Foster was also ap pointed Parliamentarian by the newly appointed president. This office was originally by Bill Correll, who is cm an extended leave of Absence from the Gub. Jaycees To Sponsor Turkey, Ham Shoot The Cooleemee Jaycees will sponsor a turkey and county ham shoot on Saturday, Novem ber 15, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Ball Park at Cooleemee School. Free coffee will be served to all contestants. Price will be sl.lO with shells furnished. You bring your favorite shotgun. A special event is scheduled for Saturday, November 22, giv ing all the ladies of the commu nity a chance to try their luck. The first 12 ladies to sign up will be permitted to shoot for half price, on the first shoot only. This match will take place at 2 p.m. A ladies shoot will also be held on Saturday, December 20, at" 2 p.m. Make your plans now to add a turkey or country ham to your Thanksgiving dinner table, and support your local Jaycees.
