Steadfast
No matter what happens, this stallion will never move. It is an old hit
ching post. Hardly anyone uses it anymore, and there is no telling how
long it stood in its present position. But it still stands there on its metal
polestationary?steadfast .

Brunson had been out that night
to Evan's Center, a local
nightclub, and had seen Mrs.
Peterson's husband there, he said
in the statement.
When Brunson arrived home, he
wanted a cigarette and thought
that Peterson must have arrived
home because he saw a light on in
the house.
He just walked in, the statement
says, and sheriff's reports show
nothing concerning evidence of
forced enfrv.
Mrs. Peterson was alone in the
house with five children, reports
say.
When Peterson arrived home,
his wife went to a neighbor's house
and called the Sheriff's Depart
ment, reports say.
Upon the deputy's arrival, Mr.
and Mrs. Peterson were sitting in
the living room of the house with
Brunson, reports say.
