Students win Soil and Wafer poster, essay annual awards Hoke Soil and Water Conserva tion District had great success this year with its annual Poster and Essay Contests. This year's theme was "Soil and Water, Yours for Life." Approximately 230 students par ticipated from McLauchlin, Scuriock, South Hoke, West Hoke and Turlington Schools. These students were winners: 77m Furmagt, (left), and Santes Beatty won first and second honorable mention at McLauchUn School for the poster contest.
