KENANSVILLE ATTORNEY ROASTED - Kenansville Attorney Vance Gavin is presented a plaque by Kenansville Jaycee President Woody Brinson for appre ciation of the lawyer's support of the local Jaycees. Also pictured is Kenansville Jaycee David Phillips. The presentation took place at a roast of Gavin in which the Jaycees raised money for the Boys' Home at Lake Waccamaw. Gavin is well-known for his eccentricities ^ which is only exceeded by his fame in the courtroom. He (9 was ribbed at the roast by Assistant District Attorney Dewey Hudson, Duplin Sheriff Elwood Revelle, Attorney Bruce Robinson, Attorney W.E. Craft and Clerk of Court John A. Johnson. Phillips acted as master of ceremonies for the roast.
