Morrisey Awarded Master s Degree Ms. Debra Morrisey, student ser vices specialist at James Sprunt Technical College, recently received her Master of Arts degree in supervision and management, with a concentration in personnel manage I ment, from Central Michigan Uni ; versity. As student services specialist, I Morrisey is currently responsible for ; development of a collegewide student retention plan as well as academic and personal counseling of students. In addition, she operates the college's job placement and career education center, the purpose of which is to aid students in clarifying their educational and career goals. Ms. Morrisey received her bach elor of arts degree in sociaology in 1973 from North Carolina Central University in Durham. Since coming to JSTC in 1978, she has been involved in counseling and student recruitment. She resides in Warsaw with her husband. Claudius and their two children, Stewart and Clitondra. She has been employed by lighting ana interior uesign nrnis 111 raisun and Fayetteville since she was graduated from East Carolina Uni versity with a B.S degree in interior design. In Faison she was associated for three years with Nan's Interiors as an interior designer. Her ex perience also includes work at War saw Block Co. where her father, Herbert H. Smith is president.
