January 18-19, lilM. meeting of the Board of Conaerva tion and Development, under and in accordance with the regulatory powers ve?t*d by Chapter 113, Sec tions 135 and 136 of the General Statutes of North Carolina in said Board. These regulations have been 'filed with the Secretary of State of North Carolina, certified copies dispatched by registered mail to tke Clerks of the Superior Court of the twenty-one counties having commercial fishing waters and ad vertised once ra week for four weeks as provided by law. Any violation of these regula tions under the provisions of law constitutes a misdemeanor. AMENDED REGULATION Fish-Food "Regulation No. 84 ? (20): It shall be lawful to set pound nets inside the following boundaries, begin ning at a stake 2,000 yards from the shore southeast % south from Long Shoal Point and running 2,000 yards from the shore at the outside points with the curve of the mainland to the 2% mile ra dius 2,000 yards from the shore south of Roanoke Marshes; thence north-northeast a straight line 3,700 yards to a stake 700 yards south-southwest from Roanoke Marshes Light; thence north x/% west 600 yards to a stake 300 yards west from Roanoke Marshes Light; thence a straight line north by west *4 west 9,800 yards to a stake (THE OLD ESTABLISHED LINE) APPROXIMATELY l/5th the width of the sound from I Fleetwood Point; thence a straight line northwest by north \ north 8,000 yards to the Red Spar Buoy No. 4 a south westerly course from Croatan Light; thence to the Red Can Buoy off Caroon's Point; thence northwest by north \ north 1,150 yards to a point 1,450 yards from the shore; thence northwest by north Vi north to a stake 2,100 yards from the shore; thence to a stake 2,250 yards from the shore at what is known as the Claude Midiiett Set; thence 2.250 yards from all the outside points with the curve of the shore to a stake 2.250 yards northwest from Sound Point." (167): It shall be unlawful to take or catch fish in Albemarle Sound inside the following boundaries', beginning at Horniblow Point 300 yards from the Norfolk & Southern Railroad Bridge and running south one' half west to the middle third one half mile from said bridge; thence east 4,000 yards to a buoy; thence north three-quarters east to the shore; thence a westerly direction 4.100 yards to the place of begin ning. NEW REGULATION Oysters "Regulation No. 16: It shall be unlawful to take or catch oysters in Deep Cote commonly known as Shell Bay.'* AMENDED 'REGULATION General "Regulation No. 5 ? (173) Section IX: It shall be unlawful for any person or persons, firm or cor poration to ship or offer to ship oysters, clams, shrimp, escallops or crabs without a bill of consign ment and tax receipts from the shipper written or stamped in ink or indelible pencil, showing the date of shipment, quantity of each product shipped, and to whom consigned. It shall be unlawful for any express company, rail road company, or any other com mon carrier to accept for ship ment, or to transport on the pub lic highways any shrimp, escal lops, clamA oysters or crabs with out the bill of consignment and tax receipts from the shipper showing the tax has been paid. except That in the case OF A SHIPMENT OF 5 PACK AGES OR ^ESS OF ANY OF THE ABOVE COMMODITIES, TAGS MAY BE USED." NEW REGULATION ? Fish-Food "Regulation No. 115: No net stakes or ' fixed nets shall be placed in lny inlet of the State nor shall ?ny gear designed to hinder the free passage of fish or to entrap them be placed in these inlets. No fixed neta, traps or gear of any description designed to capture fish shall b? placed at any portion of the intra-coastal waterway as it passes thraugh the State. The middle third of all sounds and rivers in the commer cial waters of the State shall be kept free of all neta. traps or fall ing gear designed to entrap fiah or hinder their movement."
