John McGrath achieve! his ambi tion to become a doctor of canon law in the Roman Catholic Church he may be one of the few who al ready has a background as a law yer. Father McGrath. recently or dained, had his shingle out in Pittsburgh more than a year before he decided to study for the priest hood. The 31-year-old priest got his law degree by teaching at a Catholic high school during the day and studying at Duquesne University nights. Midway, he took three years out to serve as an artilleryman in the Army. This fall he will enroll at Catho lic University at Washington. But it will be three years, including about two years of study at Rome, before he will be entitled to his doctorate. A run away ambulance, its brakes useless, rolled more than 60 miles an hour down the main coast highway and came to a stop without injuring the driver or the three occupants. Fire chief R. A. Jenkins said the ambulance even got a green light at one intersection. Unaware that the vehicle was out of control, the two patients thanked the driver for the fast ride.
