Headstart has ended for ano
ther year. The program proved
to be even more successful than
last year. People are gradually
freeing that the results ore good.
If in doubt, ask a parent of a
Headstarter.
Many activities were carried
out during these weeks. This
was for some of the children
the first experience with other
children outside their homes
learning to live outside the
heme learning to give and
take. To others it was perhaps
their first trip to places such as
the Courthouse, Library; their
first experience on Daniel
Boone’s train. You should have
been present to have seen their
small faces light up with de
light. These children will have
something to talk about for days
to come!
As well as learning and ex
periencing new things, these
children now have a Headstart
in life.
Should other children be de
prived of Headstart? Only you
can answer this question. To be
of help write your Congressman
and ask for his support to help
the boys and girls in the future.

week’s paper.
