BIBLE QUESTIONS & ANSWERS By Tom Ledbetter Andrews Church of Christ QUESTION: Why do you be lieve in one church? ANSWER: The word of God plainly teaches that there is only one church. Christ said, "I will build my church." (Mt. 16:18) This church came into existence on the Day of Pentecost and people were added to it (Acts 2:47). The church described in the New Testament is called the body of Christ (Eoh. 1:22 -23; Col. 1:18) and Paul tells us there is only one body of which Christ is the head (Eph. 4:4-6). He also admonishes us that we all speak the same thing, be of the same mind and judgement so there will be no divisions in the church (I Cor. 1:10). Radio programs on WKRK: Sunday 8:15; 8:30.
