The award is to support his study and teaching of the conservation of soil and water and other natur al resources, said presenter Virginia S. Bellamy of Ocean Isle Beach, state chairman of the Auxiliary's Scholarship Committee. Cheers used the scholarship to attend a research course at the Uni versity of North Carolina at Wilmington.
