Shallotte Man Pleads GuiHy To Two Counts Of Properiv Damaae A 24-year-old Shallotte man was ordered to pay for $530 worth of damage he caused to the home and personal items of a neighbor last month after pleading guilty in Brunswick County District Court Aug. 9 to charges of injuring proper ty The defendant, Michael Boudreau of Suburban Street, was charged with "wantonly damaging four win dows, one wall, siding and the un derpinning" of a another home in Edgewater Estates on July 9, court records show. Another warrant ac cused Boudreau of destroying a desk telephone, a window fan, assorted pictures and two sets of blinds be longing to a resident of the home. Boudreau pleaded guilty to one charge each of injury to real proper ty and injury to personal property. He was sentenced to two years and six months in prison, suspended on the condition that he perform 48 hours of community service and pay restitution, court costs and a $100 community service fee. He was put on supervised probation and ordered to stay away from the prosecuting witnesses. Two charges of communicating threats, also filed against Boudreau, were dismissed at the end of the state's evidence. Judge Napoleon Barefoot Jr. presided over two days of district court in Bolivia last week. Assistant District Attorney Rick Green prose cuted, while Lisa Aycock served as courtroom clerk.
