In June Toscha, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gay Stinnett Jr., Rt. 2, Bessemer City, competed In the All- American Girl Pageant In Raleigh. She came away with “Little Miss N. C. AU-Amerlcan Tot’ ’ honors as well as Best Sportswear Division honors. She was first run- nerup In the petite division In the Raleigh pageant as well. Toscha’s wins qualified her to compet In the national pagean held In Memphis, Tem August 6-11. Becomta) one of the 10 finalist li this pageant, Toachi won Best 4-Year (Mi Division h<mors. Jeannle Swannei Robertson, Miss N. C 1964, was emcee for ttu pageant held at HoUda) Inn Rlvermont ic Memphis. In addition to these new trophies, Toscha was winner of the Little Miss Bessemer (Tlty and Little Miss Bicentennial 1976. Toscha’s grand parents are Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Whitworth of Charlotte. Mrs. Shaw Is a Kings Mountain native who Is returning home after living for several years In Greenwich, Conn. She Is replacing Mrs. Alice Tignor of Kings Mountain as .Instructor of the courses. Mrs. Shaw graduated from the local schods and attended UNC- Oreensboro. She Is self- enr^loyed as a tailor, dressmaker and Is qualified to Instruct In these lines, plus fitting and creative sewing. Lou Sabettl, son of Virginia and Louis Sabettl, le a. 1970 graduate of lOhgs Mountain High School and has worked after school and summer months at the family business. He worked for two years at K Mart Stores after graduation from college and was employed at Eaton Corporation for seven months In the engineering depart ment. Mr. Sabettl says ttie new shoe store will be operated similarly to the McOlnnls Annex Store operated some years ago adjacent to McOlnnls Department Store on S.
