January 13, 1983 Banquet Slated The 19th Annual Hall of Fame Banquet, sponsored by the Greater Shelby Chamber of Commerce, will feature NASCAR’ 1982 Winston Cup Grand National Champion Dar- rell Waltrip and Car Builder of the Year Junior Johnson. An ex- citing night is in store for those who come as film clips of some of NASCAR ’s major races wll be shown. The banquet will be held Tuesday, January 18th at 6:30 p.m. at the Charles I. Postmaster selections, are | made on the basis of merit from a list of qualified candidates sub- mitted to the Sectional Center Manager by a Review Commit- tee. The Review Committee, composed of Sectional Center Director from the same Sectional Center, a Postmaster from the same Sectional Center, and a Sec- tional Center Director from a different Sectional Center, review the applicants for the position and recommend to the Sec- tional Center Manager those candidates who best meet the position requirements. The Sec- tional Center Manager then selects and recommends to the Postmaster General the best qualified person for appointment to the vacancy.
