= CHERRYVILLE Dan Thomas and Keith Nolen, /partners in Nolen- Thomas Manufacturing, an- nounced this week plans to ex- pand Thomas Jewelers at 215 E. Main St. as a specialty house for repairs, designs and custom remaking or resetting of precious gems. Mr. Thomas said that due to a major change in operations that ‘Thomas Jewelers will begin to- day an inventory reduction sale to clear out all merchandise at savings ranging from 25 to 60 percent. He estimated that by March 1 ys the firm will offer specialty items and custom-made jewelry while servicing 25 retail jewelers across the South. When the current stock of inventory is sold, Mr. Thomas said that a full gem lab will uz installed and that addio- tional equipment will be added. In addition, the present location will be remodeled. “This will mean that we will be doing our own manufacturing here on the site such as diamond goods. A customer will be able to bring his gold here and have most anything made from it with the exception of chains. We will ie isaac dy continue to stock our watch and chain lines. This is a service our retail customers are asking for and the outlook is good and we feel this is the way to go”, said Thomas. Thomas Jewelers has been a Cherryville business citizen since 1964 and has operated as a cor- poration. Other members of the staff, in addition to Thomas and Nolen, who is a specialist in repairs and handmade jewelry, are Thomas’ parents, Henry Thomas, a watch repairman and his mother, Mrs. Marge Thomas, who works in the sales office; ue i. a { V Thursday, January 13, 1983-KINGS MOUNTAIN HERALD-Page 7A and Jennifer Cashion, clerical and office.
