KCRMIT HUFFSTETLER ^ ...Celebrate Golden Wedding Day Mr. and Mrs. Kermlt Huffstetler celebrated their Golden Wedding Day Sun., Aug. 4th, at an an niversary reception hosted by their children In Temple Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Entertaining together were Mr. and Mrs. Ray King of Louisiana and Mr. and Mrs. Kermlt J. Huff stetler, Jr. of Kings Mountain. One hundred friends and relatives called bet ween 3 and 6 o’clock. 'The golden anniversary theme was beautifully combined In decorative details and refreshments. Overlaid with Candlelight over gold satin, the refreshment table held a tall, three-tiered pedestal cake which was cut and served by Mrs. George Carroll, niece of the honored pair. Guests Included two families representing five generations. Relatives from Kings Mountain, Shelby, CherryvUle and Charlotte attended. Mr. and Mrs. Huff stetler, married 60 years ago In a home wedding, have resided on the Huff stetler homeplace where they were wed all their married life but built a new home some years ago at the site. There are six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of whom helped celebrate the occasion. Three members of the Huffstetler original wedding party were present. Mrs. Huffstetler, the former Velma Huffstetler, was presented a corsage of yellow roses to wear with her long formal of lace and chiffon. Both Mr. and Mrs. Huffstetler are natives of Kings Mountain and are active In Macedonia Baptist Church. Mr. Huffstetler Is a retired employe of Nelsco Mills. Miss Judy Ronk Entertained At I Bridal Shower Miss Judy Plonk, whose wedding to Steve Davis of Gastonia took place Sat., Aug. 11th at 6:30 p.m. In Resurrection Lutheran Church, was honored recently at an Informal bridal shower hosted by Mrs. Graham Wood. Enter gaining with Mrs. Wood were her daughters, Beth Clore, Julie Clore, Cathy Clore and Loulsla Wood. Homemade pound cake and Ice cream was served and the 12 guests showered the bride-to-be with miscellaneous household gifts. Mrs. Wood and Miss Plonk were active In the Lenoir Rhyne College Playmakers on the campus at Hickory where bolth were students. The bride-to-be, who wore a beige pln-strlped cotton dress, was presented a corsage of daisies from the hostesses. Present as special guests were Mrs. Qarence S. Plonk, mother of the bride- to-be, and Mrs. Fred Davis of Gastonia, mother of the prospective bridegroom. Kitchen Shower Honors Miss Ronk Mrs. William Lawrence Plonk and her daughter. Miss Jodi Plonk, en tertained together recently at a bridal party honoring Miss Judy Plonk, bride- elect. . The 16 guests showered the bride-to-be with gifts for her kitchen. Miss Plonk was presented a daisy corsage to pin to the shoulder of her party dress. Receiving with the bride- to-be were her mother, Mrs. Clarence Plonk, and her future mother-in-law, Mrs. Fred Davis, of Gastonia. A color scheme of green and white was featured In decorative details.
