The couple pledged vows of the Unity (.iandle service before the Ftev. E.B. Mcks. Miss Cathy JacKson of Cheu'lotte was organist for the program of nuptial music and vocal selections were by Mlrs. Donna Parris of Blacksburg, S.C. The altar of the church was banked with greenery and enhanced by baskets of white and yellow summer flowers In terspersed with brass candelabra holding cathedral candles. A kneeling bench and Unity Candle centered the set ting. Samuel Anderson Hambright escorted his daughter to the altar and gave her In marriage. The bride's wedding gown was a formal design of white organza. The sleeveless gown was fashioned with a sheer capelet edged with silk Venlse lace. The embroidered bodice featured a Queen Ann neckline and the skirt flowed from an empire waistline forming a Chapel-length train. Her matching veil of triple Hers of Brussels Illusion was attached to a cap of Venlse lace accented with pearls. She carried a colonial nosegay of silk miniature white car nations, rosea, yellow -lalsles and baby’s breath. Mrs. Wiley Sheom of Union, S.C., attended the bride as matron of honor and Miss Jan Scoggins of .Smyrna. S.C. was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Ricky Craft of Cherryvllle, Miss Billie LXJver of Blacksburg. S.C. MRS. JIMMY LEON MOSS (Karen Nolen Hambright) A chocolate groom’s cake was cut and served with vegetable sand wiches, sausage balls, cheese rings, nuts, mints and punch from a decorated refreshment table. BRIDE AND BRIDEOROOM Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Anderson Hambright of Rt. 1 Orover are parents of the bride who la a graduate of Blacksburg High School. She received her B.S. and M. Ed. degree from Wlnthrop College, Rock Hill, S.C. She Is employed as a resource teacher at Etost Elementary School In Kings Mountain. ’Die bridegroom is the son of Mrs. J.B. Moss of Sharon, S.C. sind the late Mr. Moss. He is a graduate of Hickory Orove High School and served two years In the U.S. Army. He Is employed by Duke Power Company of York, South Carolina. For a trip to Oierry Grove Beach, the new hbs. Moss chose a blue sundress with matching jacket and the corsage lifted from her bridal bouquet. ’Die newlyweds will be at home at 606 E. A reception was hosted by the bride’s parents Immediately following the ceremony In the church fellowship hall. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Hambright greeted guests. The tour-tiered wedding cake was cut and served by Mrs. Gladys Smith and Mrs. Sue Drye. The reception table was decorated with candelabra and floral arrangements with Mrs. Avis Hambright and Mrs. Doris Thomas presiding at the punch bowl. ’The guests were served finger sandwiches, canapes made with turkey salad, cheese rings, nuts and minta. Mra. Carol Price directed the reception, assisted by Mrs. Bess Phifer, Misses Sharon Hambright, Jane Ann Wiley, Cathy Easton and Claudia Morgan. Goodbyes were said by Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Nolen. AFTER REHEARSAL Mrs. Doris ’Thomas, Mrs. Evelyn White, Mrs. Ida Mae Ramsey, Mrs. Lycosinia Passmore and Mrs. Lorrene Griffin, sisters of the bridegroom, entertained at an after rehearsal party at Antioch community Center. The 60 guests Included members of the wedding party and out-of-town guests. Bookout Reunion The descendants of David and Sally Wells Bookout held their family reunion on Sun., Aug. 6th. Grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren gathered at Resurrection Lutheran Church tor the covered dish luncheon.
