Bet!sea attended the the forty-sixth annual National Association of College Women in Richmond, Va., August 12th through the 16th at the John Marshall Hotel, with Mrs. M, C. Sidney Carpenter, After a honeymoon trip to New Jersey, the couple will be at their home. Head Start teachers have a few days left before vacation will soon be forgotten and it will be back to bocks and study will be the one main issue for boys and girls and pa rents. Rev, Spencer reviewed the lesson. Morning worship services opened at 11:00, Scrip ture was read from Matthew 20:1, Next we had prayer. Our pastor, Rev. Spencer, delivered a wonderful message from Mat thew 27:18, entitled ‘To Whom Tell It To." If he neglect to tell him, tell it to the Church." PERSONS ATTEND FAMILY REUNION HERE - Descendants of the late Wesley Judkins and the late Henderson Sanders got together here Sunday afternoon for a family reunion. Some 231 relatives met at Roberts Center on Mrs. Dora Peace Reed, 88, Funeralized In Oxford OXFORD - Mrs. Dora Peace Reed, S3-year»ol<S resident of this city, died on Saturday, August 9. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Au gust 13, at S pm. at the St. Matthew Baptist Church here with the Rev. Moses Hardy officiating. Mrs. Reed was the, daugh ter of the late Mrs. Mary and John 9;4, entitled, "Work... I must work the works of Him that sent me, while It is day; the night comeths when no man can work." Mr. Dock Peace. Born in Granville County on December 22, 1881, she was a faithful church worker until the end. She joined the Missionary Circle of the St. Matthew Baptist Church and worked throughout the com munity. An aunt of CAROLINIAN ad vertising salesman, J. Thomas Taylor, Mrs. Reed was a de voted mother and was loved by all. She was married to the late Rufus Reed an to this marriage nine children were born. Mrs. Layvette Harris read the obituary, while the eulogy was presented by the Rev. Hardy.
