Alpha Theta Omega Chapter celebrated the 6Sth anniversary ol the founding of the National Organization and the 43th vear of the continuous service of the local chapter, at the East Raleigh Branch YWCA, Sun day. February 3. The graduate and undergrad uate Sorors of Beta Rho and Gamma Xi joined in the Rededication ceremony con ducted by Soror Phyllis Mann. Music during the afternoon was furnished hy Soror Elizabeth Chance Greetings were extended by Basileus Delores Revis to all Sorors and guests who were invited to the public part of the program. To carry out the history of the sorority, the undergraduate sorors present ed a skit. 'Milestones in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority". Caro lyn Shearin. Beta Rho Chapter acted as narrator for the various milestones, namely; the founding, new directions. AKA Health project. Soror Marjorie Debnam pre sented the Distinguished Serv ice Tribute to Soror Susie V. Perry who is a Charter Member of Alpha Theta Omega. The mothers of the 1972 debutantes who had presented more than one daughter in Alpha Kappa Alpha Deb Ball w'ere presented engraved silver gifts. Soror Thelma Watkins 1972 Deb Ball Chairman pre sented gifts to the mothers present: Mesdames William Nelson, Robert Hooker, Ray mond Moring, Aaron Weaver, Genadious Winston, James Blount, and Johnnie Alien. Gifts will be sent to the mothers who were unable to attend the program. Perfect attendance certifi cates were presented by the Basileus to: Sorors Minnetta Eaton, Susie Perry, Joan Spencer, Delores Revis, Ha zeline Ashe, Hattie Edmondson, Ethel Greene, Joyce Cooke, Docemia Hammonds, Thelma Watkins, J. E. Hicks. A reception followed the program and presentions. The sorority colors of pink and & reen were used on the sautifully appointed table of refreshments.
