BRIGHTEST BEGINNINGS CHILDCARE CENTER FAMILY FOCUS CONTINUES... The Jewish Community Center is finishing up their parent work shop series with Nadine Rosen, MA. The workshops have been a wonderful success and the Family Enrichment Subcommittee of the Early Childhood Deptartment is alre^y in the planning stages for their fall series. April’s workshop will create a forum for parents to share with each other common parenting experiences, as well as, some of the common struggles. “Common Struggles’* Ibesday, April 7 7:30 pm Sundays at the “J” A World of Community Helpers On Sunday, Febmary 22, the Family Enrich^nt Subcommittee of the Early Childhood Department hosted their 2nd program from the Sunday’s at the ‘T’ series. With over ISO participants, the event was a huge success! The Police Department participated by provid ing a K-9 dog named “Bosco,” a police robot, as well as, the McGmff ‘Take a Bite out of crime” dog and the swat team brought masks and vests for the children to see and try on. The Fire Department had children practice 911 phone calls on a voice simulator and every child received a free Kidcare ID. Children enjoyed a tour in the ambualnce, the fire tmck and the police car that were paiked outtide. Every child left that day with a great feeling about their conununity helpers and a wealth of new infor mation. SPRING CAMP FOR PRESCHOOLERS (Ages 2 - 5) April 10 -16 This program will provide an environment for your child to meet new friends, have fiin with old friends and enjoy a multitude of social experiences. They will have fiin with booles, crafts and hands-on cooking pro jects, as well as, enjoy different specials that will be brought in throughout the week.
