Chanting from the Torah Temple Israel’s Academy of Jewish Studies presents “Chanting from the Torah” beginning Wednesday nights after minyan, January 7-28. If you’ve ever listened to one of our many proficient Torah readers and thought, “Gee, I wish I could do that,” well you can. This ancient skill can be acquired by anyone who can read Hebrew and can carry a tune. No additional skills are required. At the first ses sion, January 7, materials will be distributed, and at subsequent classes we will work on absorbing and applying the skill to the text.
