A fundraiser for breast cancer research, treatment and education, this was a fun- filled day of both competitive and nnn 1 ’3M VBJt:) n*,T to 3UDJI7 mon m Ti ■mr> mm Temple Beth El non-competitive walk/run events for the whole family. TBE team members received free customized t-shirts. Linda Seigel coordinat ed the Temple Beth El Team. Temple Beth El headed by Captain Bobby Pesakoff par ticipated in the annual CROP Walk at down town’s Memorial Stadium. Once again, the team supported this fun lOK family walk to raise funds to feed the hungry in the local community and around the world. The Hopebuilders 5K is a run/walk in memory of David Silverman, son of Mattye and Marc Silverman and brother of Lorin Stiefel and Shara Silverman. All proceeds from the Hopebuilders 5K go to the Margaret Harris and David Silverman Memorial Endowment Fund for Brain Tumor Research at the Duke University Medical Center. There was also a one-mile kids’ Fun Run. Many members of Temple Beth El participated in this walk too. The Caring Committee Cookbook has over 200 “yummy” recipes in it. Pre-orders are now being taken for arrival the first week of December. They will also be available at the Temple Beth El Gift shop. Don’t miss out. Louise Frumkin is chairing a new committee, a very active committee - to beautify the grounds of Temple Beth El. Already winter planting of pan sies and accompanying plants grace the walkway leading from the parking lot, and the meditation garden is beginning to be filled in.
