The Charlotte Jewish News - November 2014 - Page 7 How Well Do You Know Our New Shlicha, Adi Rodvasky? Have you met our new Shlieha, Adi Rodvasky? Do you want to get to know her better? We have the perfeet opportunities for you to do just that. The Levine-Sklut Judaie Library will be hosting four “Sieha with the Shlieha” events throughout the next few months, whieh are open to the en tire eommunity. In addition to the meet and greet opportunities that are upeoming, we are also exeited to announee that Adi will be teaehing a Florenee Melton Adult Edueation Class in January 2015. “Sieha with the Shlieha” is seheduled for four dates in the up eoming months. These events will allow everyone in the eommunity the opportunity to meet Adi and get to know her. There will be doughnuts and eoffee to keep you warm and full and you ean ask her about eurrent events or anything else you’d like to know. Mark your ealendars now so you are sure to make it. The dates are No vember 13, Deeember 11, January 8, and February 5 at 11 AM. Additionally, Adi is very ex eited to be the library’s newest ad dition to the teaehing lineup for our adult edueation program whieh is part of the Florenee Melton Sehool of Adult Jewish Learning. Fall Flieks is the newest addition to the CJFF and will feature three films with exeiting programs to enhanee the films. The three movies will all be shown in No vember. The first seleetion will be on Sunday, November 2 at 11 AM at the Ballantyne Village Theatre. The film being shown is Sturgeon Queens. Prior to the film there will be bruneh. The seeond film will be shown on November 9 at 4 PM in Lemer. The film is Num bered, whieh features a glimpse into the lives of holoeaust sur vivors today. This film is being shown on the anniversary of Kristallnaeht, making this movie a fitting ehoiee to mark the day. Following the film, survivor, Zev Harel, will speak about his expe- rienees. The third film. Brave Miss World, will be shown on No vember 16 at 7 PM in Lemer. This film follows LinorAbargil’s jour ney after she was brutally raped six weeks before she was erowned Miss World. Following the film there will be a panel dis- eussion to inerease awareness of resourees that are present in this region regarding these situations.
