This "Globemaster” is one of the lorgest oper ational cargo planes in use today, and not only will it carry 200 passengers, but trucks, jeeps, and various heavy equip ment is flown in it. Your reporter was one of the more fortunate ones who got up inside, although I must confess, lonly made it to the first landing. Was a little afraid to go higher, as it was absolutely straight up a ladder, and my fortitude wouldn't permit such a climb. In the rear of the airplane is a freight elevator, for loading equipment up to the second deck. This airplane is surely a master piece of design and is quite a credit to tne av tion industry. Mr. Northington attended the South eastern Airport Managers Association Meeting with Zeke Saunders at Virginia Beach, Va. Botii were guest speakers . Immediately upon Mr. Northington's re turn, he and Joe Culler left for the an nual Distributors Meeting at the Piper Aircraft factory in Lock Haven. We are really glad to see Norman Bradley back on Line Maintenance again. Norman was quite sick and in the hospital for several weeks, but glad to say he is now feeling well again and back on the job with all his usual pep. Henry Winfrey is also back on Line Main tenance, after spending a couple of years in the Army. Nice to have you back with us, Henry. Bill O'Neal is still hunting for some more girls for that fabulous course in flight Instruction. Although several hove now enrolled, why don't a few more of you join up, and make a real good showing. This is one sure way to popularity, girls, and why not take advantage of it I I All of us here at Fixed Base are going to miss Carolyn Manos, who is quitting, after being in our Operations Office for about five years. Carolyn has done a fine job, and It is going to be hard to find someone to take her place. See you next issue I Marian Harris ANSWER TO THIS MONTH'S BRAIN TEASER Two cannibals go across, one comesback, picks up other cannibal, comes back again. Two explorers row across, leave one, pick up one cannibal, come back, leave cannibal, pick up other explorer, row across. Send cannibal back, pick up cannibal, take him across, return, pick up other cannibal. Simple, isn't it? WANTED: 12-16 foot fishing boat and trailer. Contact R. C. Murray, CAA, INT.
