F WASHINGTON - Joan Watson, formerly with PAI in DCA Reservations, was married to Lonnie Martin of INT on ^'\arch 10. They plan to reside in Winston "^ter their return fromaFforrda honeymoon. Betty Caudill Bella is no longer with us, either. She is now employed by B. F. Saul Realty Co., DCA. It seems that thi; contributes to better domestic relations. Dick Sorrells says that he doesn't do any thing spectacular. Inasmuch as he hinted this would surprise some people in IMN, it should be newsworthy, Jean Lash and Daphne Wilson were partici pants in the Miss Northern Virginia Con test - a preliminary to the Miss America Beauty Pageant. Newest employee in DCA is Loretta Lan caster. She was born in CHS and has lived in GSO,RMT and other places in N. C. Her Father is a Methodist Minister in the N. C. Conference. She calls Raeford,N. C. home. COLUMBUS - "Piedmont Flight 976321 now loading gate 25 for Nassau, Havana, Mexico City and Honolulu." As we gathered our luggage, fishing gear and various paraphernalia - including fast-frozen lunches, that same voice echoed in our ears. Well, you know it COULD happen some d a y to Pied mont . i The above scene was taken recently in the new hangar. (Left to Right)A. G.McAli ister, J. R. Martin and "Shorty" Roy. They ore responsible for the important job of Engine Build-up wherein the newly overhauled engine is outfitted with all of the accessories and controls prior to installation in the aircraft. Seriously, our hats off to the crew from 97 on Jan. 28 - Sam Parnell, Pete Lindsey and Bob Evans. They well represented Rieci- mont at the Central Ohio Model plane Show by being on hand to answer questions posed by the crowd. The entire show received radio, television and newspaper coverage, so we feel it's another feather in the bonnet of piedmont. The bowling barrier has been broken.Boss* man Ed finally cracked it with a 207.Fran Whitney is striving to reach the barrier, too the 100 mark that is. Bowling seems to be the word of the day up here with everyone joining the fun. Heh - anyone for tennis? Never let it be sai d that CMH does not board DCA passengers on 14. Joanne Short is the most frequent traveler, but everyone here hoseithergone or is planning to go . In fact,we're running a non-rev special on April 3 for 6 locals. DCA must have some thing big. To all those concerned: Be it a matter of public notice, we are not party - poopers. Wish we could have made it,but since the flights were cancelled the day of the INT party, it would have been just a bit too far for walking. We'll be there the next time, though. When Flight 60 takes off on March 17, it will mark the anniversary of one y^ar of operation in CMH. We are working toward a more successful year, and hope that in the future, CMH will be THE station on tne system. /////////////// -3-
