FEBRUARY, 1960 THE PIEDMONITOR PAGE THREE mmw m RECORD DAY for passengers boarded on Piedmont flights is chalked up on the board by Ben Dunn, engineering department. The record of 2156 on January 3 surpassed the old mark of 2140, which was set September 4, 1959, by 16 passengers. Station reports indicate enthusiasm is building up for breaking other old records, such as record month June, 1959 (49,153 passengers boarded); and record monthly load fac tor June, 1957 (62.15 per cent). "BY HOOK OR BY CROOK" methods for catching a man during Leap Year are suggested by Kem (Mrs. Joe) Naftel (with wrench) and Anne (Mrs. Bill) Childers (with rope) to Lucy Jackson. Although it's just a joke with these three general aviation division secretaries, we hardly think lovely Lucy needs any "strong arm" tactics.
