Phone 4103 THE TROUBLE WITH HARRY The upturned toes of a very dead man named Harry VJorp point the way toward the newest and most unusual of Alfred Hitch cock *s masterful screen yarns, "The Trouble With Harry", playing at the Galax Theatre Thursday, July 5* With Edmund Gwenn and John Forsythe starred, and in troducing the delightful Shirley hac- Laine, this suspense drama about a body that won*t stay buried is Hitchcock in a new vain-murder with highly humorous overtones. Harry’s trouble, you see, is not only his own but four other people’s, all citizens of a small Vermont town. For two of the four are sure they have killed him, another might have helped him on his way without reitlizing it, and the fourth is at least accessory after the fact and possibly the culprit himself. All of them, however, have solutions for the problem of what to do with Harry, and as each puts his plan into operation the suspense mounts and the clouds of laughter rise. Edmund Guenn, famed for his memorable portraits in “Mracle On 34th Street” and "Mister 880", plays a local hunter whose poor eyesight leads him to believe he has potted Harry instead of a ro.bbit. Paramount *s delightful Shirley ^iac- Laine, whom audiences have taken to their hearts as one of the most refreshing young talents in years, portrays Harry's widow, the girl who conked him tellingly with a milk bottle, for a remarkably good reason. "The Trouble With Harry" was filmed in VistaVision and color by Technicolor at the height of Vermont's famous Autumn season.
