JHE GA.IAX mis JULY 28. 1966 PAGE 3 ANNUAL SQUARE DANCE FESTIVAL TO BE HELD AUGUST 11th Word has been received that the Annual Chamber of Conimerce Square Dance Festival will be held at Highlands School on August 11th at 8:30 p.m. Plans are still being made, and the various dance teams are being lined up for the event. Taking first place last year were the Mountain City Cloggers of Mountain City, Ga. Second and third places went to T, C, Roberson Square Dance Team of Asheville, KT. C* and the Helenas Barn doggers. Highlands’ own square dance team. Door prizes will be donated by the town merchants. Each team participating plans to bring a judge with them. Proceeds will go for the advertise ment of the Highlands area. C., are the proud parents of a baby girl, Deborah Renee, born July 2^, at 11:00 p.m. in the Angel Hospital in Franklin, N. C. The baby weighed 8 pounds, 13 ounces at birth. He stated that a study of the future of that area of Western North Carolina served by his company indicated a very substantial growth and would tax their capacity to keep abreast of the growth. After his remarks the meeting was opened to a question and answer session and there were lots of questions. President Bob Padgett announced that District Governor James B. Garland of Gas tonia, W.
