“Who will be the King and
Queen of Hearts?”—that' is the
question of the week. If you want
to find out, come to the Valentine
Ball at the Langren Hotel on Sat
urday night, February 14. This
event is being sponsored by the
college for the entire student
body. Tickets will be given free
of charge to any student wishing
to attend.
Candidates for the honors were
chosen at a meeting of the stu
dent body on January 29. The list
includes an outstanding group of
girls: Nell Owen; Katherine Sev
ier, who is active in all school af
fairs; and three of our gayest
cheer-leaders, Mary Bassett, Bet
ty Jean Woody, and Betty Ann
Bishop. Nominees for king are
all popular boys—J. C. Mull and
Joe Harrill of football fame,
Graham Price, captain of the
basketball team, and Carlyle
Davis and Julian “Mater” May,
two well-known campus person

the night of the dance. Identity
of the winners will be kept se

This will be a feature of the floor

they will lead the Grand March.
