Mr. Green had in Asheville and its prosperity a faith evidenced by his taking active part in its civic and church affairs. It was on his sound belief in Asheville that he built his fortune. At the time of his death he was the largest prop erty holder in Asheville, owning partial or complete interest in many of the large business and hotel structures. Before his death he had given several large sums to aid church schools. The will cannot be probated for at least a year after his death, and therefore it will be several months before the money is forthcoming. According to Dean J. J. Stevenson the money whs given without stip- I’lation of its use, but any expen ditures of this gift musit be sanc tioned by the Board of Trustees. The faculty and the student di visions of the cabinet are to meet separately every other week end and a joint meeting will be held twice a month at which matters prepared by each of the small groups are presented. This cabinet does not have the authority to put into effect the decisions reached. This must be done by the group concerned, which might toe either the Student council, the faculty or the Board of Trustees. Of immediate importance is “de termining the objectives of Brevard college and how they are to be met.” The cabinet will also dis cuss recruitment of new members.
