Student Government OfRcers Are
Installed; Walton Is President
Inauguration ceremonies for the newly elected officers
of the student body were held yesterday at the regular
chapel period.
Each outgoing student officer transferred the symbolic
robe of authority to the shoulders of the incoming student
who was elected to his office.

Euteirpeans Elect

At a recent meeting of the Euter-
pecn society, new officers were
elected for the coming year. Nancy
Carson was elected president of
the society, while Rachel Meaders
was elected vice president.
Martha Washam, outgoing presi
dent of the society, announced that

farewell dance which will be held
at the college.

Brevard was well on its way to

McIntosh Heads Zeta
Chapter Of Sigma Pi
Melvin McIntosh was elected
president of the Zeta chapter of
Sigma Pi Alpha, national language
honor fraternity, at the final meet
ing of the year on Wednesday,
May 28.
Other officers elected were June
Craft, vice president, and Bruce
McGuire, secretary-treasurer.
Mary Dean, outgoing club presi
dent, presented to the new mem
bers their fraternity pins and cer
tificates of membership^ She also
presented a gift from the club mem
bers to Miss Dulcie Hayes, club ad
viser.
Miss Hayes presented a certifi
cate to the outgoing president, in
recognition of her scholastic
achievement.
