Page 10 SPORTS The Clarion — September 8,2006 BC football takes on Mars Hill Saturday at Memorial Stadium Brevard College (0-2) takes on Mars Hill College (1- 0) at Brevard Memorial Stadium on Saturday, September 9. Kick- off is at 7:00 p.m. and the game will be broadcasted live on WSQL AM 1240 radio and on the worldwide web. It is “Hall of Fame” day and BC will be inducting three new members into the Athletics Hall of Fame: Ralph Lundy, Joe Forte, and Walter Clayton, Sr Brevard College faculty, staff, and students receive complimentary general admis sion to all athletic events for themselves and their depen dents by presenting a valid college ID card. All guests must enter with the ID card holder to receive complimentary admission. These are general admissions and do not include exclusive benefits such as reserved seat ing or hospitality room privi leges. Free shuttles will provide transportation between cam pus and Memorial Stadium for students and fans to all home games. Three shuttle buses, run ning at constant intervals, will begin operation two hours be fore kick-off (5:00 pm) and will begin return trips by the start of the fourth quarter On-campus shuttle stops will be at the Alumni House, the Bell Tower, and the front en trance of Boshamer Gymna sium. The shuttles will unload at the front entrance to Brevard High School. A special section has been set up for Brevard Students at the east end of the home stands. Restrooms and conces sion stands (food provided by Jason’s Grill) are located con venient to the “Storm Chasers” section. The pep band and the pre-game concert band will per form on stages set up in front of the student section. Fans are permitted to stand in the end zone area, behind the photo by John Billingsley restraining fence, from the end of the home bleachers to the goal post. Fans may not stand in front of the bleachers, or con gregate in the aisles. The track area between the bleachers and team benches must remain clear during the game. Parking at the stadium will be extremely limited. In addition to the extra-large crowd ex pected for the Mars Hill game, the Transylvania County Democratic Women’s Club is planning a dinner at Brevard High School on Saturday.
