Commencement 2019
The Clarion \ May 10, 2019
What advice would you give to other Brevard
College students (and future graduates)?
Graduates (and one faculty member
who is leaving after this semester) were
asked what advice would they give to other
Brevard College students? Here is what
they had to say....
“Never give up on a dream just because
of the time it will take to accomplish
it. The time will pass anyway.” -Earl
Nightingale
Ashley Hughes
Always keep the main thing, the main
thing. By that I mean you can go out and
have fun but make sure you wake up for
your 8 a.m. the next day and get your work
done.
Brandon “Puffy” Loran
Be patient with the process and strive to
be the best version of yourself, enjoy life
and live with no worries. God has a plan
for your life.
Marias Watson
Be smart.
Mathew Parrish
DO NOT wait around and expect things
to happen. Brevard can be a special place
if you put yourself out there and make it
what you want it to be. Seek opportunities,
join clubs, participate on campus!! Never
stop trying to enhance your experience.
Caroline David
Do the extra work and be involved in
something other than classes.
Jeni Welch
Don’t be afraid to take risks and get
out of your comfort zone. Remember
to read your textbooks, and don’t ever
procrastinate! And don’t be afraid to ask
for help.
Haley Putnam
Don’t let school get in the way of your
education.
Liz Hill
Don’t wish away your days in Brevard.
Grayson Lowe
Enjoy the Llamas.
Thibault Andre Tranchant
Enjoy your time here. It will fly by.
Daniel Trey Brown
Four years may seem like a long time,
but it goes by so fast. Embrace every
moment, even the bad ones.
Olivia Brock
Know what you want to do and do it;
don’t fall into the groups that don’t have
good intentions.
Stephen Healy
Find purpose in what you do.
Thomas Mittring
Go to Dolly’s. Go onto the Parkway. Go
swimming on warm days. You live in such
a beautiful place. Soak it up while you’re
there.
Emma Moore
This journey will be over before you
know it. Make sure to cherish every
moment, and go out of your way to try new
things!
Corey Diehl
I graduated from college!
