Page 8 The Compass December 9,19^7 Members of the River City Marching Troop perform a high-stepping routine to the delight of the homecom- Homecoming 1987 . . . Homecoming 1987 was a magical time for the ECSU family. This year’s activities were unique and even more exciting. On November 2, the Rapperfest was a hit with ev eryone who attended. The Class Clash and Splash party, which followed, were also smash hits. There was also the Gospel Jamboree, on Sunday, November 1, and the Organizational Feud and Dance on Thurs day. Friday’s featured event was the Mock Funeral and Pep Ralley. When the weekend rolled around, the Viking foot ball team defeated Morgan State on Saturday, and that night Run DMC “Walked this Way” to the de light of homecoming concert goers. The homecoming week’s events all add up to one thing: The pride is definitely back! ing parade spectators. The homecoming parade w held November 7 prior to the homecoming game. ; Alisa Robinson rides in style during the homecom ing parade. Robinson was Miss Kappa Alpha Psi. An ECSU drum major, one of the Three Amigos, leads the band during the homecoming halftime PVR 1 u Chancellor Jimmy Jenkins proudly displays a check representing a $5,000 donation to the Univer sity by the ECSU class of 1967.
