Plant Six Bertha Spell, looper of Plant #6, spent her Christmas vacation inWinter Haven, Florida, where she visitedher sister. Jeweldine Holder, also a looper of Plant #6, visited relatives in Mt. Airy and Siler City during the holidays. Margaret Beeson, looper, vaca tioned in Maryland and Pennsylvania. For her Christmas holidays, Elsie Atkinson, looper, visited her son in Woodbury, New Jersey. Plant Seven From the Order Department: Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Ina Cole who has been on sick leave for some time. Ruth Lee and her family visited relatives in Florida during Christmas. From the Folding Department: Ronnie Walker, son of Frances Walker, was home from U.N.C. for the Christmas holidays. Elaine Vaughn, daughter of Marie Vaughn, was home from Appalachian for the holiday. Linda Lowe went with her mother and father to Chicago to spend the Christmas holidays with her brother. Hannah Powell had holiday guests from Vermont and Philadelphia. Margaret Eagleson had guests from Louisville, Kentucky. Camellia Fowler and Frances Nealey went home to Tabor City to spend Christmas with their parents. Kate Chapman has been in the hospital for several weeks with a broken hip. Don't forget to drop by for a visit or send her a card. We're hoping she'll be back with us soon. From the Boarding Department: Welcome back to Ann Dale who has returned to work after recovering from a recent operation. Ruth Thomas and her family spent Christmas with her daughter, Judy, and her family in Melbourne, Florida. The second-shift boarders of Plant #7 say, "There'll be a warm time in the old town tonight!" as they pose with their blankets, Christmas gifts from the company. Second-shift boarders, with their families, held their Christmas party at the Welch Memorial Methodist Church hut. Games were played and the little ones enjoyed visiting with Santa Claus. Welcome back to Ruth Tadlock who has been in the hospital. Wanda Cheek and Melvin Owens were married on December 17, I960, in High Point. Melvin is from Eliza beth City, N. C. , but they will make their home in High Point. Congratula tions ! Pearl King spent Christmas in the Great Smokies with her mother. Nell Chapman visited her father, who is ill, in Mt. Airy during the holi days. Mildine McCaskill spent Christmas in Conway, S. C. , visiting her mother.
