NEWS AROUND THE PLANTS Plant One Congratulations and best wishes to Linda Seism and Charles D. Sink who were married on March 31, 1962, in York, South Carolina. Linda is employed in the Boarding Depart ment of Plant #1. J. M. Davis, head fixer in the Knitting Department of Plant #1, has been a patient in High Point Memorial Hospital since suffering a heart attack at his home on March 31. We are happy to report that his condition is steadily improving and he hopes to be able to return to his home soon. Our very best wishes to Brenda Nelson and Virgie Penland who were married recently. The bride is em ployed in the Pairing Department of Plant #1 and the groom is employed in the Knitting Department. Pointer Welcome back to Pearl Miller who has been out because of illness. We hope Elizabeth Moore will be well soon. She has returned to her home after being a hospital patient. Plant Four in the Finishing Department on Monday morning, April 2--and it wasn't an April Fool joke either. The taggers, folders and transfer girls got together and gave Harold James, box handler for the department, a baby shower. Harold was really surprised and for a short while, the girls thought they were going to have to call for some thing to revive him. Berneice Mabe, seamer of Plant #4, was married to Philip Hester, former employee of the Knitting De partment, on March 3, 1962. They are now making their home at 143 King Street in Kernersville. Best wishes for many years of happiness to the newlyweds J Congratulations and best wishes to Bonnie Brown and Roy L. Sears who were married on March 9, 1962. Bon nie is employed in the Boarding Depart ment of Plant #4. Everyone is glad to see Minnie Nelson back at her desk in the office after being out of work for several weeks. Something most unusual happened - 1 0 Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence D. Hayes and family (Larry is the son of "Babe" and Ruth Hayes who work in the office at Plant #4) sailed from New York on the 23rd of March on the S. S. Argen tina for Buenos Aires, Argentina. From there, they will fly to a mining camp located on the crest of the Andes Mountains, which camp is 14, 500 feet above sea level.
