Josephine Hoyle and her daughter, Debbie, had a nice trip to Nassau, in the Bahamas. They sailed on the New Bahama Star from Miami, Florida. On their return trip, they stopped at Miami Beach and Cape Kennedy. Betty Seitz, her husband (Jimmy) and her daughter (Debbie) went to Texas during their vacation. They visited friends in Amarillo and saw Six Flags over Texas in Houston. They also toured Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. Everybody at Knit Sox was happy to see Mr. Sam Lavitt when he visit ed the plant recently. Looking nice and tan, he was delighted to see his old friends at Knit Sox. Mr. Lavitt, before retiring and moving to Miami Beach, Florida, to live, was one of the original owners of Knit Sox before it became a part of Adams-Millis. The Knit Sox Division has formed its own bowling team. The team is so interested in playing that they are sponsoring themselves. Members who will start in the tournament play on September 4 are: Marie Young (Cap tain), Annie Huffman, Gustine Setzer, Pauline Henson, Ruth Lawter, Brenda Van Horn and Beverly Tucker. Good luck, girls! Welcome back to Connie Wright, Toni Clontz, Juno Morrison, Jean Leonhardt and Joyce Dugger, all of whom have been on sick leave. Charlie Kiziah and Gladys Hedrick are still on the sick list, but we hope they won't be for very long. Ronnie Setzer and Martha Warren were married on June 28, 1969, at St. Stephens Lutheran Church. Ronnie is now in Vietnam. A former employee of Knit Sox, he is the son of Dolly and Alfred Setzer, both of Plant 6. Geneva Jarrett enjoyed her vaca tion with her son. Chief Petty Officer Billy Ray Jarrett (of Norwich, Conn.) and his family. In Baltimore, Mary land, she also visited Charles Bass and family. Mildred Ross's son, Gunnery Sgt. Larry Teague, and his family of Cherry Point, N. C., visited her recently for a week. Glenda Sigmon and family enjoyed visiting in New Port, Tennessee. We have two new women drivers at Knit Sox--Sadie Benfield and Ann Sig mon got their licenses recently and are very proud of them. Plant 7: Pairing Department. . . Eva Jones and her husband (W.G. of the machine shop) vacationed in Florida and visited their son, Gary, in New Orleans. They were accom panied by their daughter and her hus band, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Heath, of Winston-Salem, N. C. Kathy Hicks and her family spent their vacation in Alabama. Myrtle Beach vacationers includ ed Jo Ellen Reece, Becky Browson, Shelby Smith, Nell Cardwell, Paige Bodenheimer, Pansy Byerly and Margaret McCuiston. Faye Robbins and her husband vacationed in Orlando, Florida. Others in the pairing department vacationing at the beaches were Judy Combs, Frances Wood, Gloria Ever hart, Bernice Gray, Linda Turnmire, Virginia Wood, Carolyn Coggins and Daisy Me Alp in. Wendy Glenn attended the Inter national Assembly of Jehovah's Wit nesses in Atlanta, Georgia. Olivia Kersey visited Philadelphia, and Annie Sapp went to New Jersey. Greige Goods Department. . . Ella Morris is. back after enjoying a trip to Nova Scotia and parts of Canada. Welcome back to Bessie Black and Iris Queen who have been out on sick leave. Lottie Davis is still out sick, but we hope she will be able to return soon. Anita Williams, Geraldine Tate, Henrietta Fowler and Mary Henard-- all proud new mothers--have returned from maternity leaves.
