27th of June at the Pentecostal Holi ness Church in Kernersville. They are making their home at 407 Jeffer son Street in Kernersville, N. C. John Vanhoy, foreman of the seaming department, is the proud grandfather of a baby girl, Dana Renea. He has eleven grandsons, but this is the first granddaughter! Treva Jones and her mother took their first airplane trip in June. They visited Dr. & Mrs. Michealis in Hins dale, Illinois. Treva says flying is the only way to travel. "Babe" and Ruth Hayes also made their first flight recently. They flew to Reno, Nevada, to visit their son, Larry, and his family. Then both families drove to California, visiting San Francisco, Sacramento and Lake Tahoe. In Nevada, they also visited Virginia City and Carson City, They liked flying, but almost got lost in Chicago's O'Hare Airport. "Chris" and Deloris Stafford spent their vacation camping in the Smoky Mountains, They also visited her brother and his family in Knoxville, Tennessee. SP/4 Danny L. Osborne has re turned home from Chuhai, South Viet nam. He spent ten and one-half months with the 312th Evacuation Hos pital as an X-ray technician. He is the son of Lee Osborne. Opal and Elwood Groce enjoyed their vacation in the mountains. They crossed the Smokies and toured Ten nessee and Kentucky. They returned by way of Blowing Rock and took a ride on Tweetsie. Then, on July 25, they, accompanied by Reba Siler (Plant 3), left for Toledo, Ohio, where they attended the golden wedding anni versary celebration of their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Dotson Angell, of Luna Pier, Michigan. David Pegram, his wife and his son, Larry, spent the week of July 4 with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Morris, in Charleston, S. C. , and at Isle of Palm Beach, S. C. They enjoyed fishing and swimming and acquired beautiful sun tans. Larry Watson, former employee of Plant 14, had planned to spend a twenty-one day leave with his aunt, Nannie Herbert (seaming department) However, his leave was canceled and he is now in California awaiting shipment to Vietnam. Plant 6: Betty Long had an exciting trip to Carolina Beach recently; she went deep-sea fishing. Judy Baker spent her vacation at Myrtle Beach. Jerry E. Sipe graduated in August from Bowman Gray School of Medicine, Wake Forest University, with a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in biochemistry. He has accepted a position with Bowman Gray as an instructor in biochemistry. Jerry is the son of Mae Sipe of the finishing department. James Steven Hutto, son of Kath leen Hutto of the inspecting depart ment, graduated from Catawba Valley Technical Institute on August 20. He majored in furniture drafting and is now employed with Drexel Furniture Compiany in Morganton, N. C. Peggie Smith, high school gradu ate of fifteen years ago, married and the mother of four children, graduated from Lenoir Rhyne College on August 15. The daughter of Virginia Flowers, of the seaming dejiartment, she will teach school this fall. Lillie Smith and her husband, Carl, spent two weeks in Fort Hood, Texas, with their son, Allen, who is stationed there. They toured Texas and Mexico, but best of all, they brought their son home with them for a visit.
