SELECTED through the entire evening. Chief High Si called the club to order. It was voted to have the minutes of the meetings published in Maroon and Gold. Miss Slioop read an interesting paper on Michael Arlen, also sketching some of his works. A photograph of the author was passed around to the mem bers of the club, thus giving them some idea of his appearance. Miss Hattie Brown read the paper on Current Events prepared by Miss Lila Newman. Miss Newman’s papers are always clever and full of interest. iliss Stearns gave an exceedingly good and full sketch of Sinclair Lewis’ life. She shqw^T some of the good points in his works. The literary program was an exceedingly interesting one. A so cial time followed. The four who match-ed ©nt pictures the quickest re ceived a prize which consisted in them doing a stnnt. It was a unique way of giving the reward to the clever ones. The game of arrows and hearts prov ed very exciting. It was a very interesting and enter taining party, which we all enjoyed.
