The entire college community will pause from its regular Tuesday schedule to gather for the fall convocation with keynote speaker Mayor Andrew Young. The topic of his address will be "Education for Public Service." There will be short talks by students John Barnhill and Katie Mafko on their community service experiences. Mayor Young is a United Church of Christ minister who, at age 57, has served as a civil rights leader, congressman, U.S. Ambassador and is now mayor of one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States.
