,'^9'^CxN'TS The Student Committee held its regular meeting on Thursday, Octo ber 10. lirs. Griffen and Wallace Sawyer were guests of the committee for the meeting. ■ The majority of the time was spent discussing with Mrs. Griffen the costs of May Court dresses, I-Irs. Griff en usually assists the girls with the pur chasing of these dresses. After this discussion the Committee agreed to re- copmiend the price of May Court dresses be set at a maximum of 050 per dress. This will allow each girl to Imow how much money will be involved before she accepts the nomination of becoming a member of the May Court. Bob Gwaltney presented some information concerning the honor societies at Duke University, The information was that Duke has two honor societies;one for the boys and one for the girls. Because these are secret organizations, no more information was available. The members of the committee were to read over the "Summary Sheet" on student participation in campus, activities. M. E. . The National Education Association of Elon College met on October 28 and President Wayne Pruitt announced that the first general session of the North Carolina Education Association Center in Raleigh will be held on Saturday, November 16. Elon plans to senc? Davis VJilliams, Wayne Pruitt, Dick Pruitt, and any others who would like to attend. No other committee news was turned in for this issue. CRlhR Bulletin Board BLON PLAYERS The first Elon Players production of the year will be held on November 21, 22, and 23 in Mooney Theater at 8:15. The play is "Death of a Salesman" by Arthur Miller. Students will be admitted free with a SGA card, Mr. Sandy Moffett is the director of the production and the leading parts are held by I'4r. Jon Wendt of the Elon History,Department, Prank Rich, June Biddle, and David Andes. NATIONAL TEACHER E/CAM February 15, 1964 is the date for the National Teacher Exam which is given to college seniors. Many school systems require that this test be.taken. Bulletins of Information contain ing registration forms and de-&-:>i.’ tailed Information about the administration of the test may b^ obtained from: National Teacher Examination, Educational Testing Service, Princeton, N.J. Regis tration for the tests opened on November 1 and closes on January 17. '-'-THTS IS ELON COLLEGE" The following programs will be heard on the Elon radio program for WBBB: Nov. 23 -An intervievj with Dr, Gokehole on South last Asia. Nov. 30 - Mr. Epperson Is planning to give a presentation •>on the possibility of life on other planets. Paul Robinson is head of the Saturday program which is tape recorded on the Elon campus.
