PAGE 4, THE COUGAR CRY, APRIL 16. 1968 College Theatre Returns From Florida Trip The College Theatre group re turned from their trip to Florida on March 27. The tour of Junior and Community Colleges totaled 2,800 miles. The tour lasted eight days, in which time five per formances were given of “The Brick and the Rose” and “High Sign.” For relaxation everyone had an “enjoyable weekend” at Daytona Beach. Mr. Mayes said the purposes of the tour were to stimulate interest in dramatics at W.C.C. and to exchange dramatic activi ties in Junior and Community Colleges. Mr. Mayes said that a group from Florida wanted to come to W.C.C. for the same purposes. The two performances by the College Theatre were received warmly by the small receptive audiences. The theatre group performed in a gym, an old ele mentary auditorium, a recreation room of a student center and in Pensacola, Fla., the College The atre enjoyed performing in a “real* auditorium. The theatre group stayed in individual homes except in Pen sacola where they stayed in a dorm. The members of the College Theatre agrees that at every place they performed, the at mosphere was different due to the receptiveness of the au diences. The group especially perform ed well at Pensacola for Mr. Mayes because it was to be the last performance they would give. t M . 4 t J “COTTON” “BAGGING RAYS” AT PENSACOLA ■V':i THE DAY AFTER THE NIGHT BEFORE FROM THE BALCONY AT DAYTONA BEACH AFTER LUNCH IN CHARLOTTE GETTING READY TO LEAVE
